Kingdom Economics - When Less is More Rick New
Saturday, May 3 11:00 am

John 3:22-26 The man who baptized Jesus, John the Baptizer, said, “I must decrease and Jesus must increase.” What John said was counter cultural then and it is even more so the case today.

As a seeker after a more meaningful and productive life what do you value most? What gives your life identity and meaning? Is it the quality and number of relationships you maintain, the goals you have attained, the skills you have mastered? Truthfully, all of these areas, and more, have importance but what is it that makes these things meaningful and significant?

Let’s explore what John said was most important to him and see if it doesn’t have application for you and me.

I’ve Come Back to the Heart of Worship: Draw Me Close to You Rick New
Saturday, May 24 11:00 am

Oasis has been blessed with the gift of inspiring worship—but just what is the anatomy of worship? What makes it work? Is there a standard of worship that goes beyond form?

In this series we will explore some of the elements of worship. Our aim and purpose is that through this exploration you might find a deeper experience of worship in your life both as an individual and as a part of the gathered body of Oasis.

Psalm 43 Have you experienced times when you are just churning inside and the act of drawing close to God intellectually seems necessary but emotionally seems unlikely? Whether the impedance is externally or internally generated the remedy is the same. In visiting Psalm 43 we will explore the dynamic that comes into play in drawing closer to God and the resolution of the need.

John 4:19-26 In real estate the three most important points to consider when buying a house are; location, location, and location. Is that the case with worship? Does the real estate where we worship determine whether we have worshipped? Actually the answer is yes. As we explore this question together see if you don’t come to the same conclusion.
