Matthew 5:1-12 Jesus lays out an unlikely set of states of being that are blessed. They are counter culture, a radical departure from what you might expect. But then that is what made Jesus a great teacher. So come with the anticipation that your thinking may challenged and your heart encouraged in this awesome opening to our series. Way To Be: I Just Can't Help It Rick New
Saturday, Feb 13 11:00 am

Matthew 5:13-16, 6:1-4 One of the great gifts Jesus has given you and me is the gift of influence. Each of us has a sphere of influence that traces into the family, neighborhood, workplace, marketplace, and even where we exercise. Perhaps the most amazing thing about our influence is that it is most powerful when we are not intentional about exercising it.

When you are in the “Way to Be” state of being you will be surprised how influential you will become.

Way To Be: Lawful Living Part One Rick New
Saturday, Feb 20 11:00 am

Matthew 5:17-26, 33-48 Truthfully this is where Jesus goes from preaching to meddling. This is where Jesus takes the Ten Commandments and slams it home in a way that sends you scrambling for help, a way of escape. And that is just what he meant for you and me to do, look for help. Here is where we come to realize that the point that ties the Ten Commandments and the Beatitudes together is that they were both delivered on a mountain.

The “Way to Be” is only attained only through grace.

This aim of this talk is to take you from your naked reality of where you are and point you to Jesus’ awesome grace that leads to “The Way to Be.”

Way To Be: Lawful Living Part Two Rick New
Saturday, Feb 27 11:00 am

Matthew 5:27-32 Sexuality is a gift from God and one of His greatest blessings for creative relationships. Sexuality is therefore one of the biggest targets for perversion and counter to God’s plan and purpose. This is such a key subject that it must be handled by itself.

My pledge to you is that the talk will be family friendly. We will explore the principles of why this aspect of human sexuality is beautiful and worth guarding against exploitation and perversion. Once again, we will be seeking the grace filled message of Jesus in His invitation for to the “Way to Be.”
