- The Awakening Doubting Thomas
-
Saturday, Apr 3 11:00 am
John 20:19-31 When all was lost and darkness ruled in his life Thomas dared not believe it was true. Heart broken, out of control, and without hope he wandered the streets like a shadow, an empty shell of the courageous man he once was. But then it happened, the awakening from his nightmare.
Thomas' story is like so many of us. Disappointment and discouragement sweep over us like a dark suffocating cloud and light seems so far away. Perhaps you need the awakening too. Come to Oasis and hear our special guest speaker Thomas, some call him doubting Thomas.

Matthew 7:1-6 After this talk you may not wish to attain to such a position as to be caught judging. The temptation to judge is so delicious. I mean when we can catch someone else in a fault it elevates us right. You know, that you are better than them because you don’t do what they are.
The Way to Be says differently. Judging is a trap to be avoided.

Matthew 7:7-14 An ancient promise traces through the ages of time and countless generations. Ask, Seek, Knock are the keys to receiving the desires of the heart. The Beatitudes end as they began—a sense of need and a place to fulfill that need. It is here that we end our exploration of “The Way to Be.” But the journey continues as we apply its principles in our lives. Jesus’ words are timeless and wonderful.
